When it comes to creating functional test fixtures for high-tech industries, one size does not fit all. EMC Technologies provides custom solutions for both wireless functional test fixtures and discretely wired fixtures to clients in a wide variety of industries. To ensure that PCBs and other electronic assemblies function as intended, we develop and produce a wide variety of specialized test solutions. We primarily serve the military and defense contractors, but we also do extensive work in the fields of medicine, electronics, satellite TV/IP, telecoms, networks, and consumer goods.
Specialized Custom Test Solutions
Our team takes great pride in the fact that we have helped our customers in developing specialized interface test adapters (ITAs) for use in vital sectors like the military, aerospace, and subcontracted military programs. With a foundation in high-tech, mission-critical testing development, we’ve been able to stay abreast of testing trends and techniques, putting us at the forefront of the electronic test industry. We have gained the expertise and insight to provide our customers with unrivaled quality and innovation through our exposure to a wide variety of clients and challenging products. We have experience with custom functional testing projects involving things like power and ground connections on a custom backplane PCB, additional loads and relays on a custom utility board PCB, and multiple connections to a single point on a redundant interface PCB.
Each of our specialized test solutions can be bolstered by our wireless and discretely wired fixtures. In addition to designing RF circuit assemblies, our team has also created a number of test adapters and test stations for testing microwave components. We use dynamic designs with full six-sided metal enclosures sealed with EMI-shielded gaskets and RF silicone to protect the UUT from electromagnetic interference (EMI) in our functional test fixtures. We have also used rigid coax cables, SMA and BNC connectors, and printed circuit boards (PCBs) made from Rogers Material in our designs. In addition to matched impedance traces in PCB design, radio frequency rotary switches, RF power sensors, coax switches, and other custom elements have all been incorporated into the specialized custom functional testing projects we have undertaken.
Industry-Specific Testing Solutions
As compared to many contract designers and manufacturers, EMC Technologies’ engineering and design teams think outside the box. Working closely with each client, we determine their specific needs and requirements so that we can deliver comprehensive contract design and manufacturing services. Each project is approached as a whole system, with consideration given to factors such as the mounting requirements, environmental considerations, dimensioning and tolerance issues, and package constraints. Custom functional testing solutions that deliver repeatable and consistent results can be developed with a deeper understanding of how and where the finished product will be used, including issues with temperature, moisture, and other exposure risks and hazards.
Engineers on our staff have extensive experience and training in electro-mechanical design, and they use this expertise to help businesses in the sectors we focus on. Custom functional testing and specialized test solutions are crucial to the success of businesses in the industrial, avionics, communications, medical, and military sectors. Because of our extensive experience in this field, we are able to provide our customers with world-class designs that are also easily manufactured, saving them both time and money in the process. At our facility, we have everything from CNC milling centers to knee-mills to lathes to drill presses to sheet metal brakes, giving us complete control over the machining and fabrication of metal parts. Whether it’s a simple aluminum piece or a complex, tight-tolerance part, we can make it. In addition to providing prototyping services, our team can also run high-volume parts without having to contract with a separate vendor. Discuss your requirements for design, manufacturing, and assembly, as well as for complete turn-key projects and build-to-print machined prototypes, with one of our sales engineers today.
