While it seems as though everything is wireless these days, there are certain circumstances when discretely wired functional test fixtures are preferred to their wireless counterparts. That’s why we offer both options at EMC Technologies to best meet the needs of our customers. We create our discreet wired and wireless test fixtures for clients who serve a diverse array of industries. They are used for performance verification of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and Electronic Assemblies. We go above and beyond to create solutions that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations, beginning with printed circuit board testing development and innovation and including fabrication and time-to-market requirements for custom functional test fixtures.
A History of Excellence
EMC Technologies began as a functional test fixturing company that worked primarily with military and military contractor clients. We are ITAR Registered and able to meet all of your needs with regard to production for the testing of CCAs and electronic assemblies used by the military and defense. While we are very proud of the work that we do with the military, we have evolved our focus to also include commercial customers. Some of the industries that we serve include networking, telecommunications, medical, computer servers, and satellite TV/IP. This new approach has helped us to gain new insight and skills that we have been able to use across the board to improve the services that we provide for custom functional test fixtures to all of our customers.
Located in Fall River, Massachusetts, our facility features a fully-equipped machine shop and electro-mechanical assembly department that is capable of managing the most demanding requirements. We have a staff of highly trained, certified, and experienced mechanical, electrical, and PCB engineers and technicians who work with the latest design tools and equipment. Even our sales group is made up of knowledgeable sales engineers, applications engineers, and technical project managers. We strive for excellence in all that we do, and that includes communication with our clients. We assign a project manager to each client. They work as a coordination and communication link between the customer and the sales, design, engineering, and testing departments for single-point contact and improved results.
Highly Custom Functional Test Fixtures
We do everything at EMC Technologies in-house, and we are proud to have established long-term working relationships with many clients over the years. Our experiences have led us to work directly with each customer in the early development phase to create highly customized interface test adapters for printed circuit board testing to support the military, aerospace, and subcontracted military programs. We strongly believe that by having such a wide variety of demanding customers and challenging products, we are able to stay current with the latest testing strategies and techniques. Our wired functional test fixtures and wireless test fixtures support many different commercial and military applications.
Some of the different types of custom functional test fixtures that we have created for our clients over the years includes custom backplane printed circuit boards with power and ground connections, as well as custom utility board printed circuit board with additional loads, relays, and other modifications. Our experience with removable access panels and redundant interfaces with multiple connections to a single point is also a huge asset for our company and our clients. Some of our specific areas of proficiency for the testing of circuit card assemblies and electronic assemblies include high speeds, tight tolerances, test racks, radiofrequency test fixtures, and temperature. Every team member from sales to testing receives continuous training to ensure their expertise on the ever-changing technologies that are inherent in the industry.
Partner with EMC Technologies
Many of our clients consider us to be a partner in their test challenges. We take pride in the loyalty that we have earned over the years. We will face many new challenges together in the coming years as technology continues to evolve. Increased company outsourcing, smaller targets, faster speeds, and new technologies are just some of the hurdles that we will overcome together for custom functional test fixtures. We intend to be ready for whatever the future holds by continually investing in new technologies, seeking and developing the best talent available, and listening to our customers.
